Instructions how to run on SLC5 64bit machine

To install BES-III software one needs

PC with SLC4 installed
5-6 Gb of disk space
Recent version of Pacman
About 0.5-1 hour of time (depends on your network connection)

Please make sure that you have RPM curl-devel installed in your system!
If you do not have one, you can install it by the command (as superuser):
yum install curl-devel

Installation steps

tar xzvf pacman-latest.tar.gz
cd pacman-3.*
source setup.sh
mkdir /top/level/directory
cd /top/level/directory
pacman -get http://bes3.jinr.ru/cache:6.5.4
OR
pacman -get http://docbes3.ihep.ac.cn/cache:6.5.4

It will take some time. Then one can do

source setup.sh
source scripts/6.5.4/setup.sh
cd dist/6.5.4/TestRelease/*/cmt
source setup.sh
cd ../run
boss.exe jobOptions_sim.txt
boss.exe jobOptions_rec.txt (for example)
